The 2026 nomination period has closed.
We will be accepting nominations again in January 2027.
Nominees for the Pittsburgh Walk of Fame may be living or deceased. They may come from any number of fields, including but not limited to art, science, politics, music, philanthropy, film, medicine, industry, dance, sports, entertainment, education, journalism, broadcasting, and theater.
Nominees must meet two criteria:
- They must have been born in or have spent their formative or creative years in the 10-county Pittsburgh region commonly known as Southwestern Pennsylvania (Allegheny, Armstrong, Beaver, Butler, Fayette, Greene, Indiana, Lawrence, Washington and Westmoreland counties).
- Their accomplishments must have had a national impact on America’s cultural heritage.
The 2026 nomination period is closed.
Our thanks to the many people who flooded us with suggestions, proving beyond a doubt that the Pittsburgh area has produced numerous individuals who have notably left their mark on our country—and even the world.
Please check back in January 2027, when we accept our next round of nominations. Additionally, stay tuned for details about our second induction ceremony, which will take place in the fall of this year.
